Hello! ¡Hola! Olá!
Shark Translations was launched in 2015 by Sarah Symons Glegorio for the purpose of helping people navigate language barriers and get international business done.
Sarah has a combined total of 21+ years of experience in bilingual business settings, including in the real estate, banking, non-profit, education, and language services sectors.
Having earned ATA certifications for Spanish into English and Portuguese into English, it means your translated documents for those language pairs are guaranteed to be accepted in the U.S. (and abroad, depending on the requirements).
Her experience as a realtor and a notary public means knowing that a “deed” is more specific than a catch-all term for any escritura.
Working as a bilingual loan officer at a credit union and helping family with immigration filings means knowing first-hand how having perfect documentation can make or break a deal.
Having had the opportunity to teach English in Spain and Brazil, she knows how certain concepts will fly and how Spanish and Portuguese linguistic nuances are best expressed in English.
Throughout her career the underlying theme has been the need for crystal-clear explanations in plain language so people can communicate and make informed decisions.
At Shark Translations, you can count on professional quality and thorough research to figure out what you need to say and the best way to express it. Working with a team of trusted colleagues who are top-notch linguists, we ensure texts are polished, impressive and on time.
We adhere to green business practices, delivering digital documents and invoices (hard copies only on demand), using 100% recycled paper, and considering our planet with every decision we make. This includes running the office on renewable energy, recycling everything, avoiding plastic usage as much as possible (sharks hate plastic!), and purchasing office furnishings (such as window shades) made from recycled bottles and other materials.
